How long recovery takes and what restrictions apply depends a lot on which procedure you had — a lumpectomy's recovery is often shorter than a mastectomy's, and reconstruction can add its own timeline.

- Gentle arm and shoulder movement is often encouraged once cleared, to help prevent stiffness
